I'm hoping that is the case. I have about 5 hours on it so I'm hoping it is nothing major. It runs great and sounds fine.

Yes, it is a gas pig now. I might have to invest in the larger fuel tank.

P doc,

Have any plans on making it to Little Sahara(okla) anytime soon. I would like to see the difference between wy wifes stock V and your 785.

PC Doc,

I have the 785 kit and was trying to break in/dial-in the motor on Saturday (its first ride) and ran into some problems (smoking and then dying once heated up; had to be towed back to my truck twice). I think it might be the result of the jetting and air flow. What jetting are you running? Did you change anything other than the main jets? Airbox mods? Aftermarket air filter? My engine builder seems to think it might be too rich. Right now, I have the stock airbox/filter with some holes drilled and Pro Circuit duals.

Any help you could offer would be appreciated, because I'm itching to get it dialed in right. Thanks.

JJDOG,

What jets are you using know? You should be around 170 & 175 maybe richer? That if you add more air! The holes should be around the bottom of the airbox evenly spaced out, holes in the top cause to much turbulance in the airbox. Search for some other mods in the forums, there are quit a few good ideas out there for airbox mods on the v-force.

That big bore really needs more air to make it run up to its potential!!!

Dixiemuddin96, the big bore kits come from Mickey Dunlaps Four Stroke Tech!!! You can give Mickey a call between 3:00 and 6:00 eastern time at 814-842-6159 and he can give you all the prices and details. I'm still tinkering with mine and I can tell you I have never been more satisfied with a company such as Mickey's for customer service!!!!!!!!!!! He has bent over backwards to help me out in every thing I've needed!

Wildwill,

Where exactly do you recommend placing the airbox holes (on the side of the airbox or toward the bottom of the plastic airbox)? I'm installing the K&N filter tonight so figured I would play with the airbox mods.

JJDOG,
Take alook at brewster2003's page in the Gallery. He has pictures of what I am talking about.

That should get you started in the right direction.
