Mods of a Prarie 300 4x4
#2
While you don't describe the service your bud intends for the Prairie, for trail-riding (no extensive heavy towing), a WebCam (webcaminc.com) 40a grind and a trick air cleaner (UniFiler, et al) appears the limit of cost-effective modifications for that machine to me.
We're talking your basic tractor engine in a utility chassis (not unlike the vast population of ~ 300cc utilities, the largest market segment); effective for its intended purpose, but hardly the stuff GNCC championships are made of. Ambitions of "go drive fast" and hop-up are better fulfilled on other machines, in my opinion, unless: somehow the modifier is gifted with "cubic money."
