Default KLX650R or 500 NINJA swap

Im bilding a custom framed long travle mojave for racing in open class MX and TT. All the other quads in this class are running 500cc+. Im wanting to run either a KLX650R or a 500 NINJA. Does anyone know anything about running either one of these????

Default KLX650R or 500 NINJA swap

For starters this is my thread Lillakota posted it for me the other day. I did think about a ZX12R but it will not work for the MX. I think the 500 twin would be better. I plan on doing a big bore onit if I use it. But I didnt know if the KLX650R would be better. Still need help. If anybody has done anything like this please let me know.

The 500 ninja will not be legal for AMA sanctioned mx or tt. I beleive engines from motorcycles must be single cylinder. The 650 is too tall to fit in the frame unless you cut and lower the bottom frame rails. A Lakota frame is just like a mojave but has lower bottom frame rails to clear the taller 300, a 650 may fit in a lakota frame. Remember that weight is a big factor for mx and the engines you are talking about will make the quad heavy.
