Every aspect of the Prairie is built better than hondas and yamaha's, with the exception of the belt (and maybe the plastic). You have to keep the belt tight or it will need replacing often. But, it is easy to do so don't worry about it.
That first sentence may sound like just plain bias, but I have had mine for two years and it appears to be less problematic that Griz, Rubicon, Rincon etc. It can take more beating. I don't even talk about pol@ris here, I seen polaris problems on almost every single ride I have ridden on with someone with a polaris.

patrick21,
The Prairie 650's are a good solid machine. My dad bought one last year and he loves it. He spent most weekends this past summer riding the trails of northern PA, blasting mud holes, shale pits, you name it. His Prairie even went end over end down a steep slope. The only damage was a blown tire, bent rim and some plastic cosmetic damage. Other than that, it is running as strong as ever. He has not had a single problem with it and he has certainly been running it hard. I like his so much that I am planning on getting one of the new Prairie 700's in a few months. You made a good choice with the Prairie, enjoy it
