2002 p650 vs 2003 p 650

Does any body know why my buddys 2003 is about 4-5 mph faster than my 2002?? it is starting to **** me off.......

be fast or be last

This is how it works bu factory : 1st 02 are the fastest, real 02 are the slowest and 03 is inbetween. There's lots to do to even the match.

I completely agree with Kawi650, because I bought one of the first 02 models and it was faster than my 03 I have now.

The 03 filter added 1 mph to my 650.

I suspect that there is a tuning and/or belt issue that is causing your 650 to be slower. It shouldn't be 4-5mph.

I agree with nyroc. 4mph is a huge difference. I have a friend who has an early 02 P650. I bought mine in Sept of 02. Mine is faster than his. So much for that theory.
