Sping question
#11
I got the epi pink and hpd plain spring's in the mail fri. I installed the pink spring yesterday it was very very easy. Basically you take the 10mm bolt's out of the cover then take the big bolt out of the center of the clutch cover (NOTE IT IS LEFT HAND THREAD) then take the 10mm bolt's out of the clutch cover and the cover and spring come off then reverse. I was being very careful and took my time doing this and it took a whole 15 minute's next time it may only take 5 min's or so it is very easy to do. I have not had a chance to ride it with the new spring to see how it is I rode it down the street in the neighbor hood but really could not get on it. It does engage at the same point the stock spring did.You could actually swap springs out on the trail's or dune's no problem only tool's needed are 10mm 1/4 ratchet/socket, 17mm 3/8 ratchet/socket, and a phillip's head screw driver.

I have both the epi pink and hpd plain springs. The hpd has a higher stall, which works great for sand dragging. Only real race ive done with the hpd plain was against a 04 YFZ 450 with a 13:1 piston, cam, pipe, and jet kit, with no lid. We did a long grass race and I beat him for about 300ft, but he started passing me at the very end. He ended up beating me by about bike and a half. I thought I faired pretty good, because those things are suppose to be major fast. The epi spring has a little better pull than stock, but not enough for a piped V, I put it in for trail riding.
