Hey all, I was just wondering if anyone other than highlifter made a temp. guage for my zooter? I was out riding this weekend and took it through a mudhole and forgot that the radiator is easily fouled on this machine. Well needless to say I just about cooked my motor 10 miles from the nearest tavern with a water hose. The highlifter temp guage is way overpriced.....could I hook up an automotive guage some how? Later...

Yeah, I have a 2 1/16" Autometer on my scrambler works just fine. Get an electric gauge, not the mechanical thermocouple type. And dont buy the cheap Autozone or sunpro gauges the wont last in the high vibration environment of atv's. i used one of these the first time and it only lasted 3 or 4 rides. I just removed the factory sender for the idiot light and replaced it with the sender for the gauge.

Thanks importh8r, I'll give the automotive guage a try. Hopefully I can buy some sort of adapter for the temp warning light switch so I can use the dummy light in tandem with the new auto. guage. Yeah I'm not taking any more chances after this weekend!! Also I think I'll put in a fan over ride switch just in case.........I paid alot of money for this quad and I'd sure like to keep an eye on her vitals when I'm out in the middle of nowhere.
