Default Trail Tech Computer

I am looking to get a Trail Tech computer for my V Force. I would like some feedback from those who have purchased one. How well does it work? What is the quality like? Can you read it in sunlight? Can you read it in shady trails?

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

They are pretty good units. easy to install, about 1 hr. You won't be able to read the display while under way, it is too small. Try to keep the mud off the diplay and buttons. It worked its way into one of the reset buttons, I have to send it in to be cleaned. They are real easy to program/operate. Great addition to the V.

I find mine easy enough to read unless I'm moving fast. I'd like to see a larger unit myself, but it's great for tracking all aspects of your riding. It would be nice to have it illuminated for more than 3 seconds (or is it 5?) at night too.

I find the resets kinda hard to figure out... there wasn't much of an instruction book that came with mine, just setup instructions and the parts.

anyone have any good easy-to-use instructions for resetting different funcitons? I've managed to reset my trip distance, both the long way and the short way, but can never remember from one time to the next what I did. Same goes for the avg. speed and maximum speed, trip time etc. ..

All-in-all though I'm very pleased with the unit.

I have one. It has worked well so far and is accurate when compared to GPS info like speed and mileage.

I made a cheat sheet and laminated it -
every ride I took it out and read my step by step reset procedure.

Yep the reset button are tricky for me too. but the unit seems solid and works well.

My only trouble with it was when I crashed and my body smashed the mount as I was getting tangled up in the wreckage.... I was able to bend evry thing back and it is usable, just not pretty..

And I'm all healed up finally.

As long as the quad still works .. that's all that matters J/K .. sounds like a bad wreck?

Yep, flew over the top of a razor back sand dune and landed too far down the other side, couldn't land it....I thought I broke my leg but it was "soft tissue damage".

Got the bike put back together last weekend, and it's ready to go.
