Default Sunk the P-700, belt slippage...what now?

Was riding today and sunk the Prairie. Water past the front rack. Got it out and it would barely go. Revved it in Neutral for a bit...slipped belt a couple times trying to go again. Finally, after a wait it went. What do I need to do? Never dealt with the belt thing. Just pull off the cover, spray it out? tried that NYROC site and couldn't really find what I was looking for. It was a blast though. Got pulled out by a Polaris though, but I was the only one who tried...looked shallow, it wasn't

sounds like you got some water in the belt housing ..........

my KFX 700 has a removable plug on the bottom ... does the P700 ????

if not..... take the cover loose.

We have all been in that water. You know, the one that doesn't look deep til it's too late!!

No drain, pull the cover. Clean out any remaining moisture, put cover back on. Might as well check your belt tension while you have the cover off.

Don't forget to check your fluids for water also.

Thanks...here's a pic of it. I take it the snorkel for the belt is under the font rack?

PADZZ,

not to start a conflict but which wheeler do you prefer riding the most (grizz or p700) Ive never ridden a grizz, but i LOVE the aggressive looks of it but i LOVE the power of my p650. its awesome.

Well, if I had to choose one, I'd probably (maybe) take the Grizz. BUT, the Prairie is funner to ride in most situations. It flat out hauls...very sporty. I feel I can throw it around like a sport quad. But after a day of riding, my body feels it, where w/ the Grizz, I'm ready for more with that cushy supension.

Yep, those are the crappy stock tires. Had just put a plug in one of 'em an hour prior to getting stuck. Planning on some ATRs one of these days.

Rammy, the only way I can get the wheels off the ground on the Grizz is if I have a bump or something...then I can ride them for maybe 15 feet, but I do have a winch on the front. The Prairie on the otherhand, with traction, is a freaking wheelie monster. I can get the wheels way higher than the Grizzly. I haven't raced them yet, but it would be VERY close. The Grizz feels like it has more power over 20-30 MPH.
