Default T/wheel package for P650?

I'd like a bigger more agressive tire that doesn't sacrifice ride quality and is very puncture resistant for my Prairie 650. They will be mounted on the stock rims. I assume Mudlites and 589s are my best bet? 26's or 27's? I won't need a lift or spacers for these packages will I? I have been riding sport quads for a long time and have not had a 4x4 quad with large tires so I am in the dark here. Thanks for any help.

Default Tire / wheel package for P650?

The question that everyone will ask you is what kind of riding do you plan on doing? What type of terrain? mostly mud... woods....hills....
The choices of tires out there are many, check out e-bay,nice prices on tire and wheel packages.

Trails and mud - I'm looking for a good all around more aggressive tire that will get me through the thick mud and still keep the good ride on hardpack. How wide can I go without slinging mud all over myself?

The prairie has pretty good fender protection. Don't get ITP wheels in front (spacing = more mud) and don't get maxxis bighorns (side lugs = more mud) and you won't get very much mud on you. All quads seem to have the ability to flip sticky mud from the back tires back on the driver, but it isn't much. My bro has my old ITP wheels and he gets more mud on him now.

I would get mudrunners instead of 589's if you are interested in mud performance. They ride and handle better than 589's on hard pack. They weigh the same. They don't have as good of traction on hard surfaces as 589's but they will go through mud better than 589's. They are extremely long lasting, and tough.

MudLites would be excellent but believe it or not the new Holeshots designed for 4WDs work excellent in mud and even better on ahrd pack. My friend has some on a Grizzly 660 and they are great. ITP 589s go very well but their ride is VERY rough on hardpack from my experiences.
