Whats your Elka ride height?
#1
What ride height are you running with your Elka suspension? Measurements taken at the front engine mount frame crossmember and the crossmember by the footpegs(not including the skidplate). Have you found a height that works best for crosscountry style riding? Thanks!

Mine is also 8 5/8" just shy of 8 3/4", this height is great for cross country. I race and have hit a few times but only in spots that everyone hits, otherwise these shocks are a must have item for this quad, excellent cornering and much better stability.

3TV / Kawy,
I forgot to ask. Is the ride height you specified with you on or off the bike? Does the bike sit level with you on it? Been playing with the Elka adjustments to see what I like best.
Thanks alot

3TV where are you measuring from in front and rear to get heights to know if it is level. Also explain how the adjustment works on front and rear. I haven't touched mine, it seemed so much better than stock, but if I can get it turn get even more stable in turns and not bottom out on mid size harescramble jumps I would love them even more!

3TV,
So your height is 8 3/4 while you are seated and geared up on the bike? BTW, when I initially installed the Elkas the bike was not level as you discribe. I got a lot of rear end bucking when going through whoops fast. I screwed down the "preload" ring on the fronts to level. Talk about a world of difference when leveled! Amazing. I measured unloaded and I am at 10 1/2 ride height (no rider on bike). I want to go lower to get more small bump sensitivity. I think your 8 3/4 height makes a whole lotta sense.
Thanks for the info!!
