my friend just bought a K&N air filter for his p700 and it did not make any difference so we rejet to 145/148 it was whorse but the plug reading say that it was a bit lean ??? then we try the same combo that I have on my p650 (we have the same mods k&N+ snorkel+black spring), 142/145 jets, it got better but I can still pass him easy until I reach 60mph then he's passing me slowly ! and by the way he has a brand new belt and mine is 650 miles, both belt tite in specs ! I don't understand this is not logik at all !!!
before we put the K&N he was passing me real easy !!! if anyone could help it would be apreciated !!

 

ho! and by the way we both have 0.060 needle shims and 3 1/2 turn on the screw and is bike weelie a lot if it means something !

 

i have 04 p700 hmf slip on no air box lid 185 180 mains 4 turns out on air screws still needs 45 piolts stock is 40 what a diferance just rode stock p700 today and mine hits out of the hole much better air box is so hi on machine figured why do i need the lid have about 150 miles on it with this combo hope that helps

 

thanks that is helping me, I will try to go on the rich side wich is logik for performance. whit your 4 turns on the screw did you shim the needles ?
