I race my buddy that has a Banshee all the time. He has SST pipes, K&N & boost bottle. I can get him everytime on the holeshot up to about 40mph, then he starts to pull pretty good.

I fell confident in saying that not everyone's V-Force runs as well as mine does. I know how to clutch mine, I know how to jet it and I know how to launch it off the line. I'm not talking 420cc Alky Banshees, but I can take both of the piped Banshees I ride with by a couple of quads and a piped Raptor by 4+. Everytime.
My guess is that 99% of you guys that can't understand how a V can beat a Banshee have NEVER seen a V-Force that was set up right and/or you don't understand what an advantage the auto is in a straight drag race. If someone asked me what kind of 4-stroke I would need to take on a Banshee before the V was even invented, I would have answered a V-twin with double the Banshee's cc's and that's what we've got now. I don't hear anyone doubting that there are Raptors or DS650's that can take Banshees, but you would doubt that a 700 twin can? I guess unless you're into snowmobiles or you're one of the few guys with a really fast Polaris Sport, people just assume autos are slow because they don't understand them.

OK, I've never seen a lava there so you should be easy to spot. I hope the weather isn't too bad. I might go thursday too.

I agree. The biggest problem vforces have is traction. Racing pretty much anything else in the sand is not fair. We went out to the local state park to race this past Friday and it had just rained the night before and there was no one else there but us. I was lining em up with my buddies piped and jetted kfx400 and he was beating me by about 2 or 3 quads each time. But, when we turned around and looked. I had three times the length of a roost track and I tried to tell him that I was just sitting there spinning. That, and I had rejetted my quad for the duals that haven't come in yet so it was pig rich. Anyway, we also have raced on concrete and it isn't even close. His stock vs mine with nothing but a pink spring and I would pull him 4 + bikes and keep on pulling away. Oh, and we both got to race a gas gas for the first time. It was 300cc 2 stroke. That thing was pretty darn quick. I will say that on anything solid such as dirt or concrete, there isn't much out there that scares me.

Zmann, when you get the duals, don't forget to open the airbox some also I have only raced one kfx 400, but I had my suspension compressed with ratchet tie downs. It didn't even look like a race. I beat him like 10-12 quads in 200 ft! He didn't even want to try again. I know this isn't much to brag about, just thought I would throw that in. I'm not really interested in racing anymore 400's unless they are heavily modded. There is one well modded local 400ex that did beat me before the duals. After putting the duals on.......sweet revenge Hats off to the 400ex though. It really rips for a 400 and an excellent rider as well.
