Teddy,

You will find if you step up to a more aggresive spring the other pipes will surpass the systems with a crossover pipe. The Yosh and Big Gun are a terror with the stock or similar clutching, but when you move the shift RPMS up, the other pipes hold on to the power longer and yield about a 1.5 horse advantage over Yosh and Big Gun. The DMC pipes yield the highest horsepower rating, by are obnoxiously loud and look cheap IMHO. The PCs have build quality close to that of the Yosh system and have a better powercurve when you start modifying the clutching on the big beast.

WELL ME AND MY COUSIN WENT DRAG RACING 3 WEEKS AGO AND WE RAN THE HPD PLAIN. I LIKE IT ALOT, IT DOES REAL WEEL IN THE DIRT AND YOU MAKE A GOOD POINT ABOUT THE CROSSOVER. I REALLY DONT AGREE WITH IT BUT I WANTED TO LET YA KNOW THAT MY COUSIN UPED HIS JETTING TO 150-155 AND IT IS RUNNIN GREAT. WE HAD THE FASTEST V'S AT THE TRACK HE RAN A 5.95 WITH THE HPD PLAIN ,I PUMPED OUT A 5.80 WITH THE PINK

Teddy700,"ANYTIME" So your V runs so good with the YOSHI's, is that why you are getting a Boondockers System. People who talk trash are the slowest ones.I just gave my 2cents on the subject.

YA, YOU ARE ONE OF THE SLOW ONES. I HAVE NO PROBLEMS BEATING A V FORCE WITH PRO CIRCUITS WITH AIR BOX MODS AND A HPD PLAIN SPRING. WITH MY YOSHIS WITH A PINK SPRING SO DONT RUN YOUR MOUTH WHEN YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHY I WANT NOS. I WANT NOS SO I CAN BEAT YFZ 450'S AND OTHER HIGHLY MODIFIED STUFF. IM NOT TALKING TRASH I AM MEARLY SPREADING INFO ON WHAT THE DIFFERENT PIPES DO ON THE V WITH ACURATE TIMES IN 300' WITH THE SAME MODS. HAPPY THANKSGIVING

YOU CAN CALL IT BS IF YA WANT. WHEN THEY ARE TIED DOWN IN THE FRONT AND ARE 2 INCHES FROM THE GROUND TIRE SPIN IS -NOT- BETTER. NOW IF THE V'S WERNT STRAPPED DOWN AND WE HEADS UP RACE WITH HPD VS PINK HE WITH THE PRO CIRCUITS W/HPD WOULD AND CAN BEAT A V WITH PINK AND YOSHIS. I AM A RIDER I KNOW MY STUFF AND I HAVE PUT ALOT OF SEAT TIME ON THE V. YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO MAKE STUPID COMMENTS TO SOME ROOKIE AND FEEL LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. BUT NOT HEAR. WHEN THE V IS SET UP NOT TO COME UP IN THE FRONT TRACTION IS THE KEY. I GET WORSE TIMES WIT6H THE HPD CAUSE IT RIPS THEM LOSE AND SPINS AT THE LINE

Teddy,

Traction has nothing to do with your clutch springs, neither does lifting the front end. Any moron worth his salt at all can launch this quad full throttle with out lifting the front end. The spring controls the shiftout point of your tranny, and the HPD plain has a WAAYYYY higher shiftout point than the EPI pink. I know, I run both springs in my V for different types of riding. The top end pull of the HPD plain cannot even be touched by the EPI pink. You want to claim you're a master tuner and know more than the other people on here, cool--go right ahead because you're not fooling anybody.

3TV,

My point exactly, the pipes are not going to make much difference, but the springs are.
