Jetting on V-Force 700 with ProCircuit T-4 exhaust???
#1
I'm new to this so I need some help. I will be putting my dual ProCircuit T-4 exhausts and pipes on my V-Force (I pick it up next Sat.) and I need to know how to jet the carbs. The ProCircuits came with no suggestions. I have a stage 1 Dynojet kit already and will also be installing a K&N air filter and I do NOT live at a high elevation......I understand this all comes into play when jetting. I have heard that due to the different lengths on the pipes the carbs are jetted slightly different....is this true? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I called Pro Circuit direct and told them my info, elevation, mods, etc, and they reccomended what jets to run. Good luck

Stock Air Box,K&N,Procircuits T-4 at sealevel 142f/145r or 145f/150r 2 turns out on air screw.Still testing-Team Kawasaki (Doug) said I was in the ball park on settings

the stage one dyno jet kit does not even come close to having big enough jets. I was running dyno jets 142,146. Today I installed a KN filter. Installed 155 160 jets slightly modified airbox T4 pipes. Bike seemed to run pretty good. Slight possibility that could be a little rich. Out of a whole days riding at Sandlake Oregon sealevel, there was a slight hesitation on full throttle takeoffs maybe 4 times during the day. Other than that, it ran perfect.

The jets that are included in the Dynojet kit are not numbered the same as stock jets. I am running 132/136 dynojets with airbox mods and Pro Circuit pipes and it is actuall a tad rich. The dynojet kit is supposed to make jetting easy, but their recommendations are so far off that you still need to do all the guess work anyway. The guesswork is just harder because the jet #'s don't correspond with everyone elses. In other words, the kit is great on a stock bike but sucks for aftermarket parts tuning. In other words steer away from the Dynojet kit.

I do not know what comes in a stage II kit, but what I did was ordered jets directly from Dynojet.
Not to expensive and fairly fast return time. I have run dynojet kits in a '02 XR650L and and '03 Z400 and in an '03 Raptor. All with minor bolt on parts. All bikes ran perfect according to dynojets charts. But for some reason, the V-Force just would not run right with their recommendations. (probably the air box modifications) I have heard of other people having trouble getting their jetting right using their dynojet kits, but they have always worked great for me. If you already have a stage I kit, just order up an assortment of jets.

I spoke to a dynojet rep, and he said they did all kind of testing with the vforce and according to their dyno it made no more power with the airbox lid off or holes. he said unless the heads are massaged to flow more air all the cylinders can flow is 300 or so cc's of air each. My V is running good with their recommendations but trying to find the right size jets with the diamond g snorkel. Also, he said its impossible to get a accurate plug reading with the fuel we use due to oxygen and methanol in the fuels.
