Bad Results with HPD Plain in V!

Hey Kevin, it's not that CVT don't dyno correctly (rear wheel HP is rear wheel HP) it's just not the best way to dial in your clutches, as I and Helix said what show's the best HP on the dyno is not the best setup in the field.
CVT do show less HP at the rear wheels 36-44% loss compared to 20-25% on a manual, but with a CVT you need less HP at the wheels to be quick (you stay at peak power until shift out, with a manual your only at peak power through a portion of each gear. I will post another video when I have time of me on the V (48RWHP) against one of our trail Raptors (64RWHP) running side by side.
As for what was done to the V, a little of this and a little of that, LOL. I was driving Helix's in the video, I do some engine stuff for him and Helix was nice enough to let me drive it.
by the way Kevin, how quick do you run through the timers in 200ft and 300ft

I'm going strictly by what I've read, AAEN says in his clutch tuning book that "efficiency of a belt drive and a gear box is about the same". The faster Polaris guys have always said that a CVT is as efficient as a manual if its clutched correctly.
No timed runs, my only rate of measurement is Banshees and Raptors.

The HP loss is as I stated, the "efficiency" Aaen is talking about is probably on the track. As I also stated 64rwhp Raptor (85 Crk hp-25%= 63.75rwhp) and 48 rwhp V (85crk hp -44%=47.6 rwhp)These bikes run side by side. CVT's do show alot less rwhp but they are at peak power until shift out, were the manual, if you take average rwhp over the rpm range of each gear will be much closer.
