Default Break-in question on new V-Force.

I picked up my new V-Force today (OH yeah!!!!) and plan to break it in properly. I have a set of Pro Circuit dual exhausts, K&N air filter, jet kit and a pink clutch spring ready to go on. My question is do I break in the machine while its still in its stock configeration or can I put my pipes, K&N, jet kit and spring on and break it in that way? Does it make a difference either way? Thanks.

I wouldn't mess with it before it's broken in. The break-in period is more than just to get all the metal smooth and knock grit out, it's also for you to make sure everything's functioning. If you mess with it and something doesn't seem right, you're not going to know if it's your mods or if there's something jacked that your dealer needs to fix.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I just finished breaking in my KFX700 also, and I'm taking it out tomorrow for the first time since getting the 10 hour service. I'm looking forward to taking it above half-throttle. YEEHAW!

I'd put the K&N in, but wait untill you have a few hours on it before doing the other mods. Good luck and congrats on the machine
