Anyone in Utah know where to take the V to get it dynoed and tuned right? Do you just call all the shops and ask if they dyno tune bikes

IMO, the only way a "Airbox mod" (other than ram air or a larger i.d. snorkel) would increase the h.p. in a naturally aspirated engine is if you weren't jetted right to begin with. Holes, slots, etc. Jet it correctly, and it won't make a hill of beans.

I talked to someone who got his 700 done in Utah. He had stock airbox and hmf duals. He got it dynoed somewhere in centerville for $100. They reduced his main jet sizes from stock 135/140 to 120/125. I even drove his V and it ran great, but I dont think they adjusted his air screws because it backfired like crazy. That's all I can remember.

Thanks green 700, I'll check around and see what I can come up with.

Also Dynojets.com has a liksting of dyno shops in every state. You have to navigate the site a bit but I had no problems finding 4 qualified dyno shops in my area through their website.

guys, the V likes lots of air bike you have to jet for it. ie: if your jetted correctly and then open up the airbox your going to be lean!
We run 1 TPI valve and 6 1.5" bulls eye vents in the box and cover 168/172 mains with porting, MBRP duals and a few other tricks and make over 48rwhp.
See videoV video
And we just threw this together, after race season ended I did some more testing with the Kawa V's and made 45.76rwhp on a praire with stk (modified) exhaust. see dyno sheet in my pics.

Thanks for the tip on the web site, it looks like there is a shop in Salt Lake on the list, I'll look them up
