Weight loss techniques for Lakota
#2
loose the mud flaps and their support bar, the overflow resevoir, the foot gaurds, and tail light. Replace handle bars with aluminum ones, rear grab bar with aluminum, replace hood and light with smooth or vented hood, Remove the frt rotor sheilds.
If it is an older Lakota that is not a Sport, then loose the racks, the two headlights, and change to aluminum wheels.
You could also get rid of the air intake system and switch to a carb mounted filter.

My lakota lost 10 pounds today!!! Using my handy fishing scale I wieghed the stock exhaust and the new exhaust and I netted 2.5 lbs!! Then I removed the stock airbox, hoses, filter and screws and subtracted the new clamp on uni filter, another 3.5 lbs!! Then I removed all my mud flaps and mounting brackets and whalla! 4 lbls for a grand total of 10 lbs and a much better looking quad.
Next is nerf bars in place of the stock heal guards.
