You should wash out from back to front your rad. Also have your Rad cap checked. Also check for leaks on hoses. Waterwetter etc... will make you bike run cooler in warmer climates. Just don't let it freeze in there.

MY 650 RUNS QUITE WARM TOO BUT THE RED LIGHT HAS NEVER COME ON. THE FAN RUNS A LOT. I HAVE A FRIEND WHO TRADED HIS 650 BECAUSE HE FELT IT RAN WAY TOO HOT, ESPECIALLY IN THE MUD. I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THIS PRODUCT CALLED WATTER WETTER (AN ADDIDITIVE) WHICH I AM TOLD CAN KEEP THE HEAT WAY DOWN. PERHAPS SOMEONE CAN TELL US ABOUT IT. I AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT THE REASON KAWI STOPPED BUILDING THE 650 WAS BECAUSE OF THIS HEAT PROBLEM. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Kawi stopped the 650 because they we're making the same motor with larger displacement. Who would complain about having a bigger engine? and why manufacture 2 engines when you can do one? Also, as far as I know there didnt really change much between the 650 and 700, just a few minor things here and there. I can be wrong though, maybe they did change the cooling system around somewhat.
