kawi650 thanx for actualy responding to my ques went to the dealer the other day they were good enough to tell me what the problem might be and how to fix it. the tube on the bottom of the motor is the waterpump seal weep if the seal goes bad it weeps out of that instead o going elsewhere it also lets you know when it is bad.seems like a simple enough fix. and come to find out all the steam was was a little water left on from when i cleaned it the day before burning off. again thanx for the input.

 

Keep your eye on what they call a "machanical seal" it's some sort of ceramic seal that is very hard to put back in properly.
