Kinda makes ya wonder why our dirtbike cousins never got slapped with lawsuits like we did. Dirtbikes are more dangerous, what with balancing on 2 wheels and all- but no, us 3- wheeler folk get nailed. Surely the 2- wheeled crowd has gotten more banged up than any of us. So whats the deal?

I feel like the dirtbike is safer.

Takes alot more skill to ride a dirtbike. I still have a couple of dirtbikes and I am glad thats what I started on in 1969.

Boy, they had dirtbikes back in 1969? I thought you had to just run while holding two wagon wheels. j/k

yes a dirtbike is not as stable as a quad....BUT that is why you dont hear of any high speed crashes that happen...because there probably isnt alot of them. with a quad it is...sit your a$$ down....punch the gas and shift....turn comes...ohh f#@! there goes the person...set them on a dirt bike...move 10 feet fall over

For some reason, it tends to hurt a little more when a 600lb quad falls on you, insted of a 200lb bike!

i think its a proven fact that quads are 100% harder to ride than a dirtbike. when you get hurt on a qaud, its going to be alot worse than on a dirtbike. quads are definetly going to hurt more because of their weight +it has more of a chance of landing on you because of size. dirtbikes have less of a chance becuase their a hell of alot smaller and weigh a hell of alot less.

Are you sure you don't have that backwards?

Here we go, comparing apples and oranges again! What comes simple to one may be a bear to another. Been riding bikes since before '69 and guess what! Dirt had already been invented also. The basics of a 2 wheeler are the same as that of a bicycle and even Ray Charles could ride a bicycle. At least until the inevitable. Even Ozzy rode a quad. At least until the inevitable. To get good and stay safe at either one takes the same thing. Experience! You only get experience by doing it and getting older.
