Default another question about the v-force 700

I like to trail ride and down in arizona (seligman) there are a lot of dirt roads that my friends and I like to explore. These go on forever and I would like to know the approximate range of the v-force on a moderate throttle ride.

I would say no more then 40-50 miles. Depends on how many times you go WOT. I can only get about 30-35 miles on a tank if I'm racing. So I'm waiting for my IMS 4.6gal tank to arrive to give me enough to finish a race without re-fueling.

THe V force hold like 3.2 gallons of fuel. You can always mount a small rack and cary extra fuel. I highly recommend somebody in you rgroup of riders carry extra gas.

I have a P700 (same engine and tranny) and although it holds 4.6 or something like that, I don't think my usable range is about 70 or so miles, but I have racks and extra gas on them.

I think somebody makes a bigger fuel tank IMS maybe, and that'll get you down the trail too.

I know a guy that owns a V Force. He is running a dual HMF setup. He is a throttle junky, and claims he can only ride for 2 hours on a tank.

My rides average 5 hours, so I purchased the IMS tank from my dealer for $180, but haven't installed it yet.

Gas mileage sucks. IMS tank is expensive. I purchased a gas can rack from PRM for $65 + shipping. Check it out at www.prm-atv.com. it will hold a 2 1/2 gallon can which should give you a range of 50 - 70 miles. It will also protect your tail light if you wheelie a bit too high.
