04 A/C 650 Problems with engine dying on bumps
#1
I was told someone over here might be able to help
When I get my AC 650 (powered Kawi) going across whoopty doo's the engine starts to kill. If I back off I can recoup, almost like it is flooding.
Someone said the KVF? 700 had the same problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

I haven't had that problem, but a two ideas come to mind:
- check the bowl fuel level
- check the tip over sensor, especially for hammerman
Just two thoughts .

The overturn sensor will shut the bike down. My bets are on your carb sliders but i thought you had different carbs. I don't think you will see the 700 Kawi with this problem.

I had a simular problem right after I got my new 700P, turned out to be the float itself had a small crack in it and the float had gas in it but it never actually died, just stumbled alot!

The sensor is a small little box on the right side close to your gas tank on the far back. There's other stuff there as well so be sure you know where it is. If you just unplug it your machine wil not start. The sensor shouldn't be a problem... it doesn't effect wheeling etc... I know some people that they even rolled the machine and it didn't even shut the bike off. If my bike is upside down I want the machine off because I know it's not getting the proper oil flow so I reccommend leaving it alone. I had a short in the wire so that's how I know where it was.

My P650 would die for a second when hitting an abrupt faced jump. It would do it every time when hitting a certain jump. It felt lean so I raised the float levels; it made it worse so I put the floats to the minimum setting; that worked. I have to hit that same jump so hard that I'm nearly out of control to make it stumble now.

I will check my float levels when the weather gets a little warmer. Can the floats be set on the machine or do you have to take the carbs off? What is the specs on the floats? I took the tip over sensor off the mounting bracket and shook it up and down and around while the eng was running. The only way it would quit was to hold it upside down for 3 seconds. Thanks
