If I Were A Rich Man
#1
I would buy NYROC a 2004 Prairie 360 so he could figure out how to make it go faster!!!!!!!!
But seriously folks::
Installed dial a jet saturday night with setting in the middle and bike ran great all through power band with no increase at all in top end. Adjusted dial a jet one click richer Sunday morning and beat the hell out of bike all day(mud, snow, hills, lots of fun) and bike ran good only seemed like top end may have been even a little weaker(still ran great)
It hit me this morning that maybe I am too rich and should adjust dial a jet leaner--I have not looked at plug yet but all of my mods have been woth it----Bike was really sporty and reponsive yesterday.
BUT HOW DO I MAKE IT GO ANY FASTER WITHOUT TRADING IT IN FOR 700??????????

I would like you to buy me a 360, but it might be cheaper to trade up to a 700.
The compression ratio is only 8.3:1, probably to help cool it. 9.5 would make it go better. Volkswagons used to use 7.1:1 to help them stay cool. If you could help the cooling a little more with an oil cooler, it might take the added compression (or a bigger cooler if it already has one). Also, since there is no water, just make sure it always has synthetic (like Mobil 20w50 V-twin oil) and it will just run hotter - happily.
Change the cam timing. Retard it so that it has more torque at higher RPM's. That spells more horsepower.
Verify that no ignition funny business has been design into it, like the 650/700 has. Fix any timing retards with a offset key or CDI or something.
Port the heads. I don't know if yours are restrictive, but I bet they could use a little help at least.
Go see Alltoys about a supercharger.
Alter springs and weights after you make engine changes.
