Jet Hot?
#1
Hello to all!
Does anyone out there have jet hot coated pipes on their machines? Before I send mine out I want to get some feed back on the sterling silver coat which has a 1300 degree limit. They also have a 2000 degree but it doesn't get tumbled and polished up, but who cares I want something that will last!
I have been talking to some friends that have V6 turbos putting out 600+hp and they run about 1250 to 1300 degrees per exhaust and the coating peels right off. I will be putting on a Digatron tach with 2 EGT's to read each cyclinder, that way I know I am at top performance at all times! I want to set my engine up also between 1250 to 1300 degrees so I think the higher degree jet hot will have to be my option.
If anyone knows of a place you can get the sterling silver in 2000 degrees that would be better!
Thanks

I can't say enough about Jet Hot Coating. I too had mine done in thier Sterling finish and they still look as good as they did the day I got them back. I believe I have a pix of the being installed on my gallery page. Good people, good product, Putt

My dual pipes for my V are at Jet Hot's place as we speak. Actually should have them back this Friday. If you give them a call and ask for a quote they will send it out in the mail with a large packet of info including a video tape. My dual Pro Circuit pipes only ran me $135 for the Sterling coating (I think shipping was also included in that price). They are very responsive and professional people. I'll post again when I get the pipes back. Putt's pipes look great.....it was his pictures that made me go ahead and send mine out.

Both pipes I sent to Jet hot were rusty and dirty, they came back looking better than new. After a year of abuse on each, they still look new. Great stuff!

How do they hold up in the mud? Does it bake on, or wash off and still hold the look?

Thanks everyone!! Keep the comments coming.
All those pictures you guys have are great! I guess the sterling will hold up, that is what I wanted to hear.
You have to look just as good as you are fast!
