Front Diff Lock Help Please
#1
Hey guys, I need some advice. I have a prairie700 and it has been AWESOME. I have 26" ITP 589's, a 2" lift, and a 2500lb warn winch, among other things. (ie: trunk box on the back, gun holder on the front, spot lite on the left handle bar, and thumb saver). Yesterday, I was riding in some very nasty mud. It has been raining for over 1 and a half weeks down here and the area is extremely muddy as well as the river is very high. I got off into a deep mud hole and .when I tried to lock in my front diff lock, it didn't work???. I notice one of the front tires not spinning at all. So I leaned the bike to the other side thinking that it would engauge. It started spinning, but the other didn't move. That told me the diff lock was not engauging. I have been in some nasty holes and that front locking diff has worked wonders. SO HERE IS MY QUESTION:
1. CAN I ADJUST THE FRONT DIFF LOCK SO IT WILL ENGAUGE? (I thought it might be too lose)
2. OR DO I NEED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER? (it is still under warrenty and 51hrs)
Thanks for any imput. I have learned a lot from this forum.

700vtwinman,
go ahead and try to adjust it yourself first. it is VERY easy you just have to remove the plastic on the handlebars. it explains how to adjust it in the owners manual. good luck
