Default Best pipe-Muzzy?

Yes, I have the MUZZY pipe on my 700. My opinion is that it is the best pipe hands down. The front and rear pipes are basically the same length which helps balance the HP between the cylinders. It fits great, looks great, and sounds better than any pipe I have ever heard. It is not as loud as duels but loud enough. It is by far the deapest sounding pipe for the V you can get, I guess becouse the canister is so long. Use MUZZY pipe, EPI pink spring, air box mods which I can give you if you would like, and 155 front-160 rear jets, twist throttle (my preferance) and you will have the perfect woods trail machine. The differance from stock to now is unreal, low, midrange, and top end, no sputters, flat spots, just pure instant power at any spead, on a hill etc. The answer to your question is no this was not my first set up on this bike but after a lot of trials and hard work it was the best. Hope this helps.

They say the rear cylinder neds more fuel becouse it runs hotter but I think 160 front & back would be just as good. I am on the upper side of the fuel range right now but man is it crisp!!!!

I think the rear cylinder should still be jetted slightly richer because it will run hotter. Even though these are liquid cooled motors, air flow still helps cool them.

I ordered the Muzzy pipe today with the jets that were said to match pipe. -forgot to ask size(at work) also ordered Q- core. Was told by Dave (at Muzzy) I would have a 10 HP gain. Have K& N , need airbox mods and clutching. Sat. I ordered Trail-Tech clamp,X-bars, twist throttle,Renthal grips. I will let y'all know what jet size they supply. What are TPI sliders? Any airbox mod help will be apprec. Thanks spaz ...EPI Pink-0/161...might try Dalton blue also-3/155 --or try some shims.......

Pistonman,
TPI sliders are Thunder Products Inc (TPI) sliding vent for the air box. There web site is

here

I can't wait to hear the report on the Muzzy exhaust. 10HP gain is pretty significant.
