The fastest that I've ever gone on my 220 was 41 miles an hour. It doesn't take too long to get up to around 35 but from there up to 41 takes around 4-5 seconds but from zero to thirty five it only takes 8 seconds.

I would be interested to know at what rpm you guys are reaching these top speeds. I installed an aftermarket tach on my 220 and have always always kept the engine below 7000 rpm. That is where the engine develops maximum torque according to the Kawasaki shop manual.

Thanks.

Me and a friend just installed a Supertrapp exhaust on his 220, it has some more power and definately some more tone! I swear it's louder than a harley now!

I don't know what rpm I had the engine running at but I had the thing completely topped out it couldn't go anyfaster, I had the throttle down all the way for around a minute so it was completely topped out, if you know what the absolute maximum rpm is for it then you'll know what rpm mine was at.

I had a friend follow me on a paved road in my truck. My 95 Bayou 220 (all stock) ran around 45 mph best we could tell.
