Default prairie 650 not too stable

Hi all... has any one else found that your P650 isent too stable on side hills? I know when ridding with my cousions on sport quads they can ride around setren side hills that i have to walk mine around, and i still have to push over on it cuz it trys to flip side ways even when im walking it. are there any ways to make it more stable?

I flipped mine on a side hill, too. Guys here on the forum say to replace the stock front springs with Progressives, or Elkas, and get rid of the junk original Dunlops.

I find the P650 with my ATR's to be reasonably stable on off camber riding. I had a 2k Kodiak that was horrifying. It is truly one of my peaves. I struggled with it on my Kodiak but seem to be at home on the P650. I do not know how experienced you are but you gotta keep moving, and not at a crawl if you can help it. It depends on the situation.
Sport quads are usually wider, mostly in the front wheels and lower for their size compared to a P650. Lighter too.

therock i =m pretty experanced. o have no problen going on fast side hills. but its places that you have to brake while doing it, like going down a steep hill then the trail turns on the hill and heads back up. i had an old honda 250 fortrax that seemd to be alot more stable and its a narrower atv. would progressive springs and real tiers help any?

Like therock said, change your tires to ITP Holeshot ATR and add a front adjust progressive suspension kit and your problem will be solved. The original tires on the Prairie are terrible, and affect greatly handling and stability! C-series won't help except look good (I personally prefer Maxxis light 8-spoke wheels)

How much do those tires cost?

tiresunlimited.com . They list the weight and have a fedex calculator too.

TommyBoy----- I ride much the same terrain as you, only in S.W. WVa.(HAT/McCOY TRAILS), and Southern Ohio(Wayne Nat'l. Forest). I use ITP "C" series wheels and ATR tires. My group is into fast trail riding. The C's have a 1" POS offset. THIS makes your Prairie track 2" TOTAL wider. Trust me, it is a nite/day difference!

TRX450, I didn't know the C-series had a one inch offset. So, that is also good news for me!
