Default Please Help ASAP!!!!!!!Holy $h!t this is bad

I have a Prarie 360 and it has about 275 hours on it. It started making a sound like rocks going around in the belt casing and I cut it off and it would not shift out of gear. I stayed in gear all the time. I took it to the shop and they said the convertors on the front and back were messed up. They said it would cost from 900-1000 dollars to fix it. They also said it is not covered by wannanty. If you have any clue what a convertor is please help me and with the wannarty to or with any other info. By the way i do alot of fast long trails about 40 mph or so. Would this have any thing to do with it?

please read the post... "desparately searching for 360 primary clutch" ... on this forum... the "converter" is either or both, the primary or secondary clutches... in the other topic, they mention that the spider came apart, & destroyed the clutch... initially sounds like the same problem... if this is the case, they may warrenty it, if there are several having this problem ( bad batch of clutch parts ), I'd contact the guy from that topic & put your data together...

even if both cluches are bad, that is top dollar, so the dealership is doing you no favors, so you may be able to find another dealership that will cost less, or actually warrenty it... or you could order the parts on line for about half of what they quoted you to fix it...

good luck, let us know if we can do anything...

Syrupdawg - if that thing is still under warranty, go back to the dealer and start yelling. Clutch problems related to wear haven't been covered, but your problem sounds like a catastrophic failure. They should cover it.
