Elka's on front only?

Has anyone tried using aftermarket(read good) shocks on only the front of a V-Force? The front shocks are not very good, the back seems to work a little better. I was thinking of the Elka's without the res. (upgradeable) then getting the back when possible. Don't know how triple rate shocks in front would work with stock rear. Brand/spring rate not set in stone..

Not sure what to tell you about which ones ... The guy I bought them from collected all the info ( my weight, type of riding, etc .... ) ordered the shock units for me.

You guys with elkas or other good shocks on the front, did it help the harsh steering? I know it is softer, but do you still need or want a steering stabilizer. I know mine is choppy (side to side) when one tire hits a rock. You have to hold on!

The triple shocks have a really soft spring at the top ... zero load kinda thing ... a remarkable change in the harshness of the ride and steering. I don't have any intention to add a stabilizer for the type of trail riding that I do.
