Default bang for the buck

If I am looking for acceleration and dont really care about top end should I just stick with a H/L or get a DG module because the cdi will cost about $250 and from my understanding the difference between the modules and the cdi is top end. Which one should I get?

one thing the CDI will do, that the modules will only partially do, is help your engine run cooler... the severely retarded timing starts at 40-45 mph, & gets more retarded as you speed up... if you regularly drive at these speeds, the CDI will help, in this area, where the modules won't...

I still stand my my original statement, in that, as far as "fun factor", with normal non internal modifications, the modules are the best bang for the buck... you may even see the prices dropping, as the CDI's start to enter circulation... I've already seen several lightly used DGR modules for sale, for around $50.00 ... at this price it definately would be the best bang for the buck, for most people...

There's suposed to be a bigger difference that just top end with the CDI. The mid range will be improved as well also the advance will ramp up quicker making power sooner. The holeshot is most noticable when hitting wot from a dead stop and goes back to stock soon there after. With that being said imo the CDI will be the best bang for the buck for an all around performance gain, even if your machine rarely see's 8000 rpm or 60 mph.

I hope the CDI performs to all the hype it's generating!
