Default 360 belt light

I have had my 360 for two years. No problems. At 106 hours belt light came on. I reversed the two wiring harness and disconnected the 2 wire just as the book says. I did this 2 times. The light came back on. I also took the battery terminal loose. I did not take belt cover off. Does the switch inside cover have to be reset, also?lively

Lively, this is just a thought, but maybe you actually need a new belt? Not knowing how you ride, it's hard to tell. I know lots of guys who get hundreds of hours out of thier belts, but if you tow and don't use low range, or maybe do lots of mud holes, maybe your putting extra strain on the belt and need to check it's deflection to make sure you don't actually need an adjustment or a new belt.

Just a thought...

Try reversing the connections again and make sure you do it the right way. I did mine the first time and it did not work. I tried it again using the opposite connecters I used the first time. (if you know what I mean) and it worked. good luck
