Default p650 running bad

Before I go tear into it maby I could get some ideas from some of you guys.It bogs on the low end and it backfires when I let off the throttle. It just started doing it over the winter. It runs great once it gets going can still whoop my buddies grizz. The snow is gone now so I figured it would be a good time to dust off the V and put the prairie in my shop and figure this out.I have some ideas just thought I would get a few more to cover all the bases.thanks

my bets are on the carb sliders.... Been there done that! When it bogs and stalls use the pull start to start it.

The first thing I would do is change the spark plugs.

Sounds like lean pilot jets. Possibly needles.

mine did the same thing once.the airbox was full of dogfood(possibly by mice).also check your oil, could be a little gas mixed in from not always shutting the gas off.hope this helps.

BOGER... 1st, try draining the float bowls... read the plugs... look to see that your air filter is clean & not over oiled... make sure the gas tank vent lines are free flowing ( this just happend to MIKEYBOY )... make sure that the Dial-a-jet snorkles are OK... from reading your list of mods, I'll not bother typing out the obvious...
