Default HMF pipe install question?

I am installing a HMF half system pipe on my p700 and was wondering if there is a easy way to get the pipe flange on to the collector that attaches to the bike. The pipe is just a bit oval and the head piece is to tite to slip inside ,anyone have any advise on how to do this without damaging the ends?

Thanks jeremy

Hot and cold works wonders with metal. Get the end you are trying to slip in cold. Get the outer piece hot with a torch on a low flame. Hopefully that and some elbow grease will get it.

You need to get a large pliers and squeeze it a little to get the flange to slip in. Be very careful not to spread the pipe out or you will have a leak!
