I have a 98 Lakota that has been converted to manual clutch. The only problem is, it was done when I bought the bike. I have talked to the guy that did the conversion, but he couldn't or wouldn't tell me how the conversion was done. I do know that it uses stock plates and heavy duty springs, because I replaced mine last winter. Call Mickey Dunlap at 4-Stroke Tech (814)842-6159. He does this conversion but I'm not sure of the price. I saw an article on a Wolverine in DirtWheels that 4-Stroke Tech converted and they said the price for it was $75, so a Lakota probably isn't much more.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

Just wondering why you did not just buy the Mojave instead which has a manual cluch?I read the Mojave is quicker even though its a 250 because of it's higher tec double overhead cam engine.
