Default REALLLY DUMB QUESTION

i have already done a search hoping not to ask this question in public but how do you open the fuel door on a kfx700? it appears as though you pull it toward the rear of the quad and lift but nothing seems to work. is it hinged? at the front part of the door. or is it a panel that come completely off?

It's a panel that come completely off. Lift up on the rear (the point closest to the grab bar). It sorta snaps in at the rear and has two tabs up towards the top of the cover. Mine is tough.....don't be afraid to put some muscle into it. Also, no question is a dumb question......at least I hope there isn't......I ask a lot of questions

I had trouble with this the first time too. I knew it opened from the rear, but it was so tuff that i was afraid of breaking something. Then my dad came out and popped it right off and made me look stupid

Default REALLLY DUMB QUESTION

Thanks guys! It really seems like it will break so i backed off till i found out for sure. dealer was so lame i did not even try them. how do you guys like the the 700. i bought it for my wife. i thought it to big and heavy for any really hard riding but it is really stable and does not feel like 500 + pounds. I might swap her my cannondale

To make opening the fuel door easier next time...
Either spray wd40 or rub vasiline on the rubber grommet...
Me sister bought the v and loves it.... I bought the z400
because I like to shift...But after riding the v off and on all
last year???Well I guess you just get spoiled by it.

I love my 700. I cant tell how much it weighs when im riding it either. Very stable and all the power and torque makes up for the weight disadvantage. I did roll it for the first time last night though. No harm done to me or the quad. Just a few scratches, but that just gives it character

LOL... I think the fuel cover gets everyone the first time. I felt like a dope when I finally just yanked it off. As far as V's go, I wouldn't trade mine for any other quad out there, unless it was a modified V, of course.
