Default V-Force??

Hi great site here. I'm a big guy(275). Due to an accident I need an automatic cause I can't feel the shift lever. Well I can, but it's hit and miss. I saw and fell in love with the V-force. I do Glamis and Dumont. I have been on a Mojave 250. kinda under powered. I rode a Raptor too much power (tork) I also ride trails at El Mirage and Hungry Valley. I'm pretty much set on the V-forse, but I'm conserned about the weight. I could pretty much throw around the Mojave. Once I almost got bounced going down a narrow trail off a hill. I'm wondering if I was in the same situation with the V-force if I could controll it. I'm also wondering about fliping it if I don't get a good enough run at a hill and gas it hard at the top. I don't want to loop it like i felt the Raptor might. Hate to ask, but would a Polaris be better if I'm worried about weight? I love the V-force though. Thanks for ANY advice on this situation.

Default V-Force??

Sorry to hear about the accident--to start off with, your a perfect size for the V-Force. I don't know how it does on the dunes, but it does great on the trails. The raptor has loads of torque, but a properly set up V can also. I just don't know how they compare. Yep, the weight is an issue but it still can be slung around and even jumped. And for buying a polaris, there auto's they make are pretty heavy as well

The V is the perfect quad for you. The V has more Torque than a Raptor, but due to the auto, it is a little easier to control. This will allow you to climb hills with ease. As far as the Dunes are concerned, if you put a set of paddles on the V, you will not have any trouble negotiating even the largest of hills.

i agree with rpm. the vforce has more torque than the raptor. i dont think the weight is an issue because with all the power of the 700 it balances out.

Another yes for the V-Force! It is an easy bike to ride. It works good on mtn trails, El Mirage dry lake and it flys in the dunes. Check out my pics. (click on the camera).......oh and welcome to the forum. Are you from Fontana, Cali?

Thanks all for the advice so far people. Happy, Nice pix Questions though, I notice in your avatar and the pic from hill 6 that the front end is comming up on both. When I tried the Raptor thats what happened and that's what I was hopping wouldn't happen with the V-force. Novice riders question. If I was half way up China and the front started to go up like that, and I let out of it could I just climb up on the tank, well where the tank is on most quads, and get back on it, or would it dig in? I guess I need to find one to borrow and try it out. Before I make my desision, either that or suck it up and learn to ride, or go for a ride and stay on it.

Get a set of 24 inch skat trak extremes for it and you will fall in love. Ours does absolutely amazing in the sand. It climbs hills with ease. Im not sure how big your china wall is. I do know that we can climb banshee hill at winchester bay oregon no problem. Ive seen many stock bikes get stuck on this hill. I really dont think you will find the front end being too light. It does wheelie if you want it to, but definately wont unintentional.

If you have any more questions please feel free to ask. The vforce is the bike i learned to ride and jump quads on.

I just did that for the camera. It won't do that at the top unless you want it to. It may do that at the bottom upon launch! When you climb with the V you can just back off the throttle a bit, then go full again, then back off near the top. Any speed you loose you can retrieve with the power this thing has.

Default V-Force??

OH MAN I WANT ONE NOW!!! But I gotta wait a couple of months till the daughter finishes up with private school. That puts me gtting one in the middle of summer I understand thy need 15 hours of break in time.) How many trips across El Mirage is that? Of Course I want it broke in by Holloween. Can't break it in in Glamis can I? I'll be my first NEW bike. I want this more than a Red Rider fully automatic BB gun. I don't care if I shoot my eye out. Any break in tips? Thanks again for all the advice if I think of more I'll be sure to ask here.

Yes I live in Fontana Ca Happy And I have a 14 year-old daughter who rides an Odyssey 250. My wife hates sand.

Default V-Force??

zeepusher, i have a vforce that i may want to sell it is set up for the dunes ,i have owned many different quads and i think the v force is the ultamite dune quad it is just as fast as any raptor or yfz, an alot of banshees exept for the highly moddified ones and it is way easier to ride.i have alot of aftermarket stuff on it. the reason i want to sell it is because i got a new subaru powered dunebuggy that totally replaces it. maybe we could work out a deal like you give me some cash and take over the payments. im in the sandiego area if your interested give me a call before i put it in the trader i would give you a better deal if i dont have to that. 619 843-7396
