Default Uni filter, Twin air or K&N?

I need to improve my intake air flow. I like to ride dunes mostly, so I hear oil bathed foam is better than K&N. I can get Uni for about $25. What is working for you?

I had a K&N filter first then I switched to the Twin air. First of all it's easier to clean and also has better air flow. The Uni filter is probably similar to the Twin air. I run both brands in my KX250 and the Twin air might filter a little better the foam has smaller pores in it. I think you would'nt go wrong with either one of them. K&N is over rated!

I run a K & N with Outerwears on all my quads, trucks and H.D. - never had a problem. With the O.W. on, about all you have to do is freshen the filter oil once in a while and wash the O.W.-- As far as being overrated-- I guess it depends who you ask.

I have heard the same about K&N. That is why I am leaning towards Uni or Twin air.

I have a twin air on my KFX700 and a uni on my banshee. The K&N filter dose not do a good job on real fine dust, and were I ride it can get very dusty at times.

K&N's work better when they're a little dirty. You don't have to maintain them as often.

No other airfilter will flow more air than the K&N , but the drawback to that is , it doesnt catch all the fine particles in the air, but an outerwear will take care of that. No filter is easier than the K&N to clean. No other airfilter is as expensive as K&N either. Any of them will do what you want just pick the one thats in stock.Trailride
