Default *******KFX 700 Questions *****

question 4 yall, ive got a 04 KFX700 that my local techs did over but it dont seem right, i am over 2000 ft elevation...ive got the K&N filter Kit, DMC duel Alien exhaust system and EPI 56g weights. which EPI said was the onlything i needed to do with the clutch for maximum performance with the other stuff added. I also dont think the jetting is right anyone know what might to try for jetting?it seems to bog down a second low to mid range, but not a case of burning to rich... also think EPI is right on the clutching? cause it seems to have more snot stock. thanx

Welcome to the Forums. What jetting do you have now? If it is stock, it's going to be lean with intake and exhaust mods.

I think stock is 145/142 and its currently @ 148/145, does other things have to be adjusted like the pilot jets or slide?

If you're still running the stock spring with the 56 gram weights then its not going to run any better than stock even with the duals.

145 f - 148 r ? shim needles .020 also. read plugs, do as Kevin M. says and change primary spring. Open up the airbox. Probably have to continue jetting up , maybe not....read plugs...mixture (pilot) settings usually between 2 and 3 turns out S/B fine tuned.
