hey everyone, i own a 2003 kawasaki lakota sport and i love to wheelie,i do it alot and im getting better and less afraid lol. everytime i wheely either from a dead stop or just by gunning the throttle i have no problem getting the front end up but i dont know where the balance point is and everytime i wheely i get a weird feeling in my stomach like WHOAH! and idk if thats the balance piint cuz i kinda feel like im gonna fall back. i have poped the front en up too high and fallen back many times and other times i just didnt give it enough . so please some1 tell me how i know where the balance point is so i can actualy ride one out. thanx

Dude, the balance point is something you are just going to have to find yourself. You're on the right track. Only way to find it is to keep doing what you're doing til you find it and can ride it. Try using the throttle and clutch to keep it in the balance point or sweet spot. Front end starts to come down, gas it some or a lot depending on how fast its coming down. If you start to feel like you are going to flip backwards, pull in on the clutch a little or else hit the rear brake. You'll learn, just keep it up.

I worked real hard to find the balance point on a YZ 490, and I was gettin real good. Well, this one time, I pulled it up in 4th gear and was riding a beautiful wheelie for a real long time, and slowly the rpm's were climbing as I was trying to keep the wheel up. You probably know what happenned, the 2 stroke came into it's powerband and spit me off the back doing 55 MPH! Luckily, I was wearing equipment, and I was on hardpack, just some skin missing, is all. Be careful!
