Default KFX700...where to start????

No, not the machine....my rambling sort of short story......
Well, I've been around bikes for 35 odd years now, ridin', wrenchin,...you name it, I done it....even working at an H-D dealership currently, and I ride a Honda Valkyrie to work...so I think I got the "cajones factor" pretty well coverred. In other words, I ride what and when I want, because it's what I want.....OOOOPPs....headin' in the wrong direction...sorry guys...back to ATV's.
Anyway, 'bout 3 years ago, I took my first ride on an atv....I was hooked, but I had no real place to ride, so I did without. Wellllllll the plot thickens, couple of really coool dudes just opened an 800 plus acre ATV park, about 10 miles from my front door. PLACE TO RIDE! Problem solved. Straight down to my local Kaw dealer, and straight home with a KFX700.
YEEhAWWWWWWWW! More sore muscles this morning than I've had in years, what a work out, better than any bow flex! What a machine?!
Anyway.......I'm through now, with my senseless meanderring.....Just had to let everyone know, from a novice ATV rider, yet senior M/C rider, the KFX700 KICKS &*S!

Thanks for the welcomes and responses, glad to be amongst other enthusiasts., as for the 800acre park....I think I concluded my "break-in" Sunday. Nope, didn't put 10 hours on her, but rode the "property line trail" 3 times, I was told it was 17 miles long, then spent another hour on 30 odd miles of the interior trails. Any way I figure it, that's gotta be over 60 miles, even it it ain't 10 hours...whatcha think????

I think Kawie's break in procedure has been debated here before. I am not buying the -half throttle- take it easy- approach, for 10 hours. Any other four stroke engine you break in the cam for about 15 min and then take it out and seat the rings. ( yee-haw ) not letting it idle too long (ever) vary throttle positions for awhile.... all 10 hours of easy does is plug up the rings and polish the cyl...... this S/B called the never break in procedure WELCOME

I'm with you Pistonman...half throttle, and easy does it, don't do it for me. "break 'em in," the way you ride 'em. Just don't over heat nor lug 'em. With a mixed bag of terrain this weekend, including some 150-200 ft 45-60 degree hill climbs, 1/4 - 1/2 mile open straights, mile after mile of tight woods sections....I think it's safe to say we had constantly varying throttle positions(LMAO).
