Howdy,
this morning we marked off 300 ft. and timed a couple of runs. The quad used is an 03 prairie 650. It has DG snorkel, DG3 module, Biggun exhaust, jetted, 28" 589s, and black & red springs. We measured the distance with a Bushnell range finder , timed the run with a Tissot Touch Timer, and measured the speed with a Garmin E-Trex gps.
We only ran twice because the ground was pretty wet from a 3" rain two nights previously. My son weighs 260 and the quad was run in 2wd. His best of the two times was 6.1 at 43.3 mph.
There you have it, super precise, modern, up to date pasture testing. The test was also witnessed by 51 cows and 49 calves!!!!
