P650...No Fire
Hello,
The first thing that I would look at is the coil, if not the coil check your wires hooking to battery, or "As a problem with mine was" where the wires enter the engine cover to go to the generator the wires had broke off. Or, I would get a wire tester and test my spark plug wire and so on or it may just be your sparkplug? Hope this helps

401......I'm experiencing the same thing. Engine was running fine when parked, attempted to crank an hour or so later and it wouldn't hit a lick. I checked the pick-up coil and it was well within the specs as provided in the service manual. I also charged the battery because it only had 12.4 volts. After the battery had 14.3 volts, still no cranky... I'll monitor your posting to see if someone else has had the same problem. BluRock

The ign has two poles.
One turns almost everything on.
The other has a 1 ohm resistor that signals the CDI with reduced voltage so it will spark. If that 1 ohm isn't there, no spark. Also, if you attempted to hot wire anything, not spark because 12v on that second wire will make the CDI not spark (security feature for people that steal the 650 and don't have a key).
That is just FYI.
You could try to wiggle the key switch to make sure that it is all the way on. I didn't have mine all the way once and it wouldn't fire.
