Drag race reaction time questions ...
I'm currently going to the drag strip, to measure gains provided by different tires, clutching, & performance modules... is it safe to say that if I subtract my reaction time, from the 60 ft & 330 ft times, that I will have the actual time it took for my quad to go those distances ( basically eliminating the human error... for aynalitical purposes ) ??? I.E. if I had a reaction time of .832, & a 60 ft time of 1.929, that, the time it took my quad to go to 60 ft, from the time it began moving, was 1.097 seconds ??? or is there something I'm missing here... If I can use this formula, it will make it easier to actually compare times of different performance mods, by removing the human error ????

New Beatle...I'll take it one step further. On an actual drag strip you have two lines before the starting line, Prestage, stage, then start. You can do whats called a deep stage and lesson your reaction time but you also run the risk of red lighting. Deep stage is where you roll into the lights until the prestage lights goes off, thus getting you closer to the starting line. Even so, this still doesn't start the time clock until your tires actually cross the starting line.
