I've been looking for a used quad for my teenage son and my wife. I seen a few bayou's for sale in the paper lately. Are they full time four wheel drive? How do they handle, i heard kawi's have a handling problem! Are you bayou owners satisfied? What are some things you wished you could change or improve?

Bayou's come in 4x4 or 2x4, the 4x4 models are full time 4x4. they come in displacments 185, 220, 250, 300 and 400 depending on the year you get. 4x4 models are in 300 or 400 cc displacement only i believe. Good quad, I enjoy mine. Unstable?? Not really, although a wider width on the wheelbase might help. Its darn heavy at least my 4x4 is but surprisingly hard to get stuck. Hi/lo range on the tranny is real nice. I pull airplanes around the ramp with mine with little trouble. can tow heavy trailer and quite a bit on the racks. Good hunting quad.. Before you buy ask if can remove all the plastic and check for rust at all the weld joints and brackets.

Before my p700,I had a 2000 300 4x4 bayou,I spent many injoyable miles on it,never had any troubles with it.I bought it new and never abused it,always looked after it.It was full-time 4x4 and handled great in the trails.I towed heavy loads with it and was surprised at just what that little machine would do.It never let me down,,,ya know I kinda miss it
