Guys, I went to the dealer today and he gave me a belt with part # 59011-1080 on it. The belt on my V now is 59011-0005. What is the difference? The dealer said that this part # can be used and supercedes the one I have. Is it the difference between Kevlar and something else. If so can I use the 59011-1080 without any problems? Thanks.

i went looking at kawi site. well your 59011-1080 belt is for the 650p 2003. as for the 59011-0005 i cant find it anywhere, i even checked ronayers and it didnt show anything.

I believe the 0005 is a 700 belt & it's the one i have in my AC 650. It should be a better belt.

 

Here is the part numbers from the Dayco Belt Book and its shows the belt you got as the 650 belt:

I would think that the belt on your now is an 59011-0003 which is the 700 belt.

Take it back, i would NOT put a 650 belt on a V, or even another Pra. now that the 700 belt is out, the 700 belt is made better and will last longer, don't let the dealer tell you otherwise.....
