steering knuckle

Default steering knuckle

put a post in about a month ago about my front diff not working and my 4 wheel drive not working properly, changed the diff oil it was really gray so that should help but here is my problem spun the front wheel that would not engage and the wheel would spin but nut the shaft it looks like I broke the knuckle and tore the boot on the lower end any one else have this problem and is this someting I can do my self

Under warranty? Take it to the dealer.

If you broke the inner joint, it can be rebuilt. If you broke the outer, you'll have to find an axle shop. They may be able to repair it. That will be your cheapest option. Otherwise, you'll have to bite the bullet and order a new axle. For what you get, I would order a gorilla axle myself (instead of a stock one from the dealer).

You can do the work yourself depending on how handy you are. It's easy. Tire off, center nut, lower nut on the ball joint, separate and move the shock/hub assembly out of the way. Then grab the axle and pull straight out. It will slide out of the diff then.

Default steering knuckle

its no longer under warranty I might drop it off to the dealer and let him deal with it
