It blocks the signal from the speed sensor to the CDI and send's the CDI it's own signal or frequency......."fooling" the CDI into thinking the quad is going faster than it really is and thus making the CDI advance the timing quicker than if stock..........

Howdy,
the Holeshot added a boost from stop til around 25mph or so. The DG3 adds as much if not more low end and it continues to boost all the way to the rev. limit. On my 02, 650, it runs cooler and starts easier with the DG3. Have a goodun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've read several times that the holeshot can cause the engine to run cooler. How does advancing the timing cause the engine to run cooler?

I think its because retarded timing is not how an engine is really supposed to run..so it generates less heat..lol..i know it sounds funny but I can see the logic in it..

I needed the frequency thingy to save on gas... because gas prices here are very mean. LOL (You don't save much but it's better on gas too). What it does it runs your bike more effeciently.

Where can I get one of these dg3's ??? And will it help my 650 be a little less cold blooded on start up? So far every kawa I have had has been kinda hard to keep runing at start up , unless you just crank it up and take off. I have had a couple of suzukis(300 King/ and 500 Quad runner) and they could be started up left unattended without worrying that they would still be running when you got back. Even on cold mornings after a long tow to Hunt club. Whats up with that?
